Join us for this free, hands-on field day where we’ll focus on filling an already-built Johnson–Su Bioreactor using the composting methods developed by Dr. David Johnson and Hui-Chun Su. This low-maintenance, no-turn system is well suited for dry climates, using significantly less water than traditional composting and requiring no heavy equipment. Participants will learn proper material layering, moisture management, and best practices for creating a biologically rich compost that supports long-term soil health.
