A makerspace is like a gym or rec center, but for tools, training in how to use them, and connections to a supportive network of creative people. You can learn new skills by participating in classes and workshops; become a member (through volunteering or paying a monthly amount) and get ongoing access to a 12,000 square foot makerspace filled with empowering tools; and, if you'd like, volunteer in one of the many charitable projects launched through the makerspace. Members have access to the space during member hours through RFID door access. All members are required to go through a member training before they will have full access so if you sign up online, make sure you get registered for the next possible member training.
