The general curriculum timeline is developed, however, we expect the instructor to be adaptable and accommodate both student project preferences and variability in their production speed.
Students will be developing sewing skills by producing items for other non-profit agencies. The instructor is expected to pack and transport supply bins weighing 30-60 lbs. between Cruces Creatives and school sites, maintain an orderly project storage space at the schools where allowed, and make sure to “leave no trace” after class sessions.
The instructor will act as a liaison between the school and Cruces Creatives and will be expected to develop positive working relationships and share invitations for students and school staff members to participate in events at Cruces Creatives.
The instructor is expected to monitor Slack and email communications each work day, access and use reference documents on Google Drive, maintain appropriate class records, take and upload appropriate class photos, maintain professional communications with parents, project partners, Cruces Creatives members, and report issues immediately. This is a highly collaborative work environment, and the instructor is expected to participate and reciprocate to maintain good relationships.
