A makerspace is like a gym or rec center, but for tools, training in how to use them, and connections to a supportive network of creative people. You can learn new skills by participating in classes and workshops; become a member (through volunteering or paying a monthly amount) and get ongoing access to a 12,000 square foot makerspace filled with empowering tools; and, if you'd like, volunteer in one of the many charitable projects launched through the makerspace. OUR MISSION Cruces Creatives is a non-profit makerspace committed to fostering economic development, furthering education, supporting the arts, protecting the environment, strengthening social connections, and advancing science and technology throughout New Mexico by connecting people with the tools, training, and community to make practically anything. Cruces Creatives also works to expand the charitable potential of community makerspaces by adding three core goals to the basic makerspace approach of sharing tools, training, and community:
