Join us for a free hands-on field day as we work together to help finish building an earthbag greenhouse! We will be filling and stacking earthbags, learning the basics of natural building techniques, and discussing how earthbag structures can support sustainable, resilient growing spaces in the Southwest desert. We will take turns filling the bags in small groups of 3–4 people at a time while others rest, hydrate, and learn about the process. Whether you’re experienced in natural building or just curious about earthbag construction, this is a great chance to learn new skills, get your hands dirty, and be part of creating something lasting for the community.
We will wrap up the morning with a grant-funded meal in Mesilla. All are welcome to join!
