A duo show from Maggie Day and Thad McRae!
"SPIKY" delves into heavy themes through a lens of playful irreverence, using sarcasm to unravel societal illusions and provoke contemplation. Through vibrant colors, abstract forms and collage , we challenge facades that hinder meaningful examination and healing, inviting viewers to confront serious topics with a fresh perspective.
Maggie Day is a visual artist and educator from Las Cruces, New Mexico. Day received her Bachelors in Fine Art From NMSU in 2017 and her Master’s in Fine Art in 2021. She is currently teaching at NMSU, Dona Ana Community College, and El Paso Community College.
Thad McRae is a multidisciplinary artist and creative director based between Los Angeles and New Mexico.
