*Please note, this camp is free for students attending a title one school. Title one schools include ALL Las Cruces Public Schools, plus a few charter schools. If you have questions about if your school is included in Title one, see more information at the end of this post.

GEOCACHING MAKERS

In partnership with Friends of the Organ Mountains, Middle school students will learn about the process of geocaching, they will create their own geocaching containers and trades, and on the final day of our camp students will be invited to join us at Dripping Springs National Monument to hide their caches. Students will get the opportunity to learn about coordinates, GPS technology, 3D printing, laser cutting, and much more. 

*On the final day of camp students will need to be dropped off at La Cueva Recreation area in Dripping Springs. Students will also be taking a walking field trip downtown during camp, and parents will be asked to fill out a permission slip on the first day of camp. -Bring a water bottle. Students should wear closed toed shoes camp and tie back hair when appropriate. Snacks will be available for purchase.

Friday June 21st

On the last day of camp, Friday, we will meet at Dripping Springs. 

Parents are invited to stay and participate or drop-off. 

Thanks to Funding from the City of Las Cruces and the American Rescue Plan Act we are able to offer these camps free of cost to all Title One students who attend schools in Las Cruces. These schools include all of the Las Cruces Public Schools, White Sands Schools, Mesilla Valley Leadership Academy, Arrowhead Park, Alma d'Arte, J Paul Taylor Academy, La Academia Dolores Huerta, Los Montanas, New America, Raices Del Saber.
