In this free, hands-on workshop, learn about plant/microbe symbioses and interactions, and learn how to

• Cultivate beneficial microbes in Johnson-Su composting bioreactors, and

• Use those microbes as part of an integrated, best-practices system for making your agricultural lands their healthiest and most productive!

Courtesy of Valencia Soil and Water Conservation District, bioreactor supplies will be available at-cost for $100. (If you want one, bring a van or pickup truck to transport it.)

10:00-10:30: Introductions
10:30-11:15: Overview of plant/microbe symbioses and Johnson-Su compost inoculant
11:15-12:00: Discussion of inoculation approaches. Inoculation and planting of trees and shrubs.
12:00-13:00: Free lunch by Tomé Todo
13:00-16:30: Bioreactor assembly and filling,
16:30-17:00: Q&A
