In this class we will create cyanotypes and experiment with silver gelatin photographic paper. Cyanotypes are an alternative photographic printing process that utilizes the sun, in order to make cameraless images layered with various found objects and transparencies to create photograms. Students will also experiment with creating images on silver gelatin photographic paper that is exposed to the sun to create timeless botanical prints of New Mexico's native plants. Students are encouraged to bring any organic materials like leaves, flowers and branches that are of interest to them.
These classes are in partnership with NMSU STEM Outreach. If you are interested in registering, please follow this link.
