Saffron Field Day

Saffron is the world's most expensive spice, worth more than gold! The legendary Crocus sativus has been sought after for more than 4,000 years for spice, medicine, and dye, but what exactly is saffron?

Come learn about what saffron is, where it comes from, why it is so expensive, and how you can grow your own saffron right here in Southern New Mexico. with this free class. 

Whether you are a commercial farmer, hobby gardener, foodie, or aspiring spice baron, this workshop will teach you the history of saffron and show you how to plant, grow, and harvest this legendary spice in your own backyard or container just in time for the holidays. 

The class will be followed by a free meal for all participants.
