Intro to NRCS: Conservation Innovation Grants

In this free workshop series, learn how to apply for Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) funding from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). This funding helps support innovative agricultural practices that protect natural resources, practices such as cover crops, managed grazing, reduced tillage, specialized irrigation systems, and many more.

Register for

  1. A link to a videorecorded introduction to CIG, presented by personnel from the New Mexico NRCS Office. Learn about what the program is, what it funds, and how to apply.
  2. A detailed booklet on how to apply for CIG funding.
  3. A link to a free follow-up workshop (June 25 at 4:00 p.m.) where you can ask questions about CIG and get answers from NRCS staff.

After you register, links to the video, the booklet, and the follow-up workshop will be emailed to you.

These workshops are funded through a Conservation Technical Assistance Grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and they are offered through a partnership including the Doña Ana Soil and Water Conservation District, Cruces Creatives, Backyard Farms, New Mexico Hay & Livestock Company, and NMCO Media.
