In this class, students will build first-hand knowledge about the nature of sound through hands-on challenges to capture (and then modify) a world of different sounds using professional-grade recording equipment. Students will journey in-depth into the nature of sound waves and the different tools for capturing and transforming them.

All materials will be provided.  

This class is designed with 7th-8th grade students in mind.  Through generous funding from NMSU STEM Outreach, we are able to bring the class to you free of charge. 

Classes meet in person and are limited to 10 students per session. Students will be required to wear masks. We ask that adults be prompt picking up students so we can avoid congestion and maintain the limit of persons in the building.
