  • Intro to NRCS: Conservation Stewardship Program

In this free workshop series, learn how to apply for Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) funding from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). This funding helps farmers and ranchers pay for agricultural practices that protect natural resources, practices such as cover crops, managed grazing, reduced tillage, specialized irrigation systems, and many more.

    Register for

  1. A link to a videorecorded introduction to CSP, presented by personnel from the Doña Ana Farm Service Agency Office. Learn about what the program is, what it funds, and how to apply.
  2. A step-by-step booklet for how to apply for CSP in Doña Ana County.
  3. Links to two free follow-up workshops (evenings of Feb. 9 and Mar. 9, 2021 Mar. 16, 2021) where you can get help with your application from Farm Service Agency staff, grant writers, and other local producers who have been funded through CSP.

After you register, the links and the booklet will be emailed to you on the morning of January 26, 2021.

These workshops are funded through a Conservation Technical Assistance Grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and they are offered through a partnership including the Doña Ana Soil and Water Conservation District, Cruces Creatives, Backyard Farms, New Mexico Hay & Livestock Company, and NMCO Media.
