This months exhibition features Artists: Mónica Martínez-Díaz Born in 1991 and raised in the US-Mexico border area, Mónica Martínez-Díaz is a visual artists who uses photography, video, design, and installation to create conceptually based work focused on the hyper normalization of violence in Latin American society. Her work examines individual narratives pulled from her own experience growing up in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Martínez-Díaz received a BA in Photography from the New Mexico State University and will receive an MFA in Studio art this upcoming May 2018. Her work has been exhibited internationally and throughout the United States in Woman Made Gallery at Chicago, the University Art Gallery at New Mexico State University as well as throughout Morocco, Northern Mexico, New Mexico and Texas.
