This course offers an introduction to basic visual design and fundamental Photoshop tools: selection tools, manipulation tools, creation tools, and workspace tools. You will also learn professional design principles and tips and tricks to get you started on Photoshop.
The workshop uses demonstrations and step-by-step instruction on a shared, projected screen. Participants who bring a computer with Photoshop can practice techniques.
No previous experience with Photoshop is required. Participants need only a basic working knowledge of their computer.

Ages: 18 and older, or 14-17 with a parent or guardian present
What to bring: No special equipment is required, but if you have a computer with a Photoshop license, you are welcome to bring it.
About the Instructor: Micah studied art, photography and design at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington D.C., where he was born and raised, and has worked with Photoshop for over 20 years. His current goal is to use 3D digital art, 2D rendering, photo manipulation, and video for both social commentary and to explore new realities just slightly askew of this one with multimedia gallery shows and books.
