Come learn how to make unique, low-cost art pieces with nothing but paper and glue! Quilling is an art form that dates back to the Victorian era, when gentlewomen were “too delicate” for more strenuous activities. It was popularized again in the 70s and has been revitalized over the past decade by contemporary artists, such as Yulia Brodskaya, who have modified and updated quilling. In this quilling class, you'll learn how to use quilling tools, how to quill without tools, and how to use various coiled paper shapes to make art.

About the facilitator:

Tiffany Elliot worked for 6.5 years on the start-up team at Art Works Gallery in Riverside, CA, where she spent 3+ years teaching a weekly watercolor workshop and 2+ years each teaching quilling, jewelry, and creative writing. Additionally, she has served as a facilitator for The Copeland Center’s Wellness Recovery Action Planning workshops, an associate facilitator for RI International’s Peer Employment Training, and an instructor of English at New Mexico State University.
