Learn how to knit even if you have never held a pair of needles before. Using needles and yarn from the Textile Lab, participants will learn the knitted cast-on, knit stitch, purl stitch and bind-off. Then we will move on to combining knits and purls for stockinette, garter and ribbed fabrics. Finally, learn about needle types, yarns, and the mysteries of gauge.
