Trash to Treasure: Origami and Paper Cutting
This origami and paper-cutting / folding session is based on “Peach blossom”, a story of a Chinese girl who overcomes her family’s poverty with imagination by creating paper art to solve her problems.
Students will choose one of the items in the story to create using a variety of papers that might be tossed or thrown away as well as art paper and other supplies. Project to go home: A large paper origami or Chinese papercut/folding.
