FREE Family Memories Book Making Workshop

Come make a book together as a family!

We begin with the paper! Like the “old days” we draw our deckles and frames through the pulpy tub to make sheets of handmade paper. Then we go high tech and each family customizes the cover of their books with laser etching. A little stitching to set the paper folios into place, and by the end of the night, each family will have a beautiful, tangible, way of remembering time spent together.

Thanks to STEM Outreach at NMSU this is a free class. Space is limited to four families per session. This activity is recommended for school age children and older. Due to the equipment involved, it is not well suited for very young children.

This project is most suitable for children above the age of 6 as we will be using hot tools in our process.

If your family is more than 6 individuals, please let us know so we can adjust our preparations accordingly.
